Last week, Minister of Defence Ank Bijleveld signed an agreement in Paris regarding a Dutch contribution to the multinational Takuba Task Torce. The Dutch contribution comprises two Dutch staff officers.
The Netherlands were active in Mali for Minusma before (archive photo april 2019) .
The mission, initiated by France, focuses on advising, assisting and supervising Malian units. These units are deployed in north-eastern Mali to conduct operations against terrorists, particularly the Islamic State in the Greater Sahara (ISGS).
